Been really busy, but other than that, things are good here. Had a broody hatch a couple of chicks and it's funny watching them run around after mom. That's been my entertainment lately. (I need to get out more!)

There's cold breed in the green cooler, soda in the blue cooler, juice and water in the red cooler and I have homemade french fries going in the deep fryer and hamburgers cooking in the frying pan so if you're hungry pop in for a spell.

Why break her? Don't you want little babies running around? Let her sit in the eggs and become a mama, it's a good way to increase your flock without spending lots of money and not knowing if you're going to get the chicks you ordered.

LOL I do and I would love that but I don't have the room right now. Plus I don't have a rooster so I would have to buy/find fertilized eggs or chicks to stick under her. And she's been sitting for like a week and a half already. But when I finish the new coop I might let her hatch.

Oh, I see. I would break her too if I had that same issue. I do have a rooster and two broody hens but I don't let them sit on the eggs. I'm not sure why though- just doing what I'm told to ( but I won't mention who it is that's telling me not to let her sit even though I'm being told by someone else to let them sit).

I'm hoping for that one day too. When we got babies last year they were about 2 months old so I've never got a chance to see them hatch and grow from from that stage.
