Way you don't let them rippen on the plant?

I would have but stink bugs were eating them. And I wanted to make some fried green tomatoes. The others will finish ripening on my table. There is still a lot on my plants that I covered with netting to keep the stink bugs off.
Have you ever had fried green tomatoes? They are so good!

Morning! Chance of rain today. We got a good start on the firewood stack for the house. I am going to go help a friend get some free firewood and free Senior horse feed and she has no truck. Anyway, it is all in the name of cross-training for wrestling! DS$ had a good time up in ID. Enjoy the day!

Good morning Cafe. Stopped in to get a cuppa and say hi.
I have some outside chores to do today. Want to try to get them done before the heat fires up. And the rain comes back Thurs. for another week.
I had to cut out a lot of mildewed leaves out of my garden yesterday and try to open them up for some sunshine while we have some.

We are supposed to have 3 days of drenching rain and storms. Funny tho, we have had so much rain this year, that when we have a week of semi dry weather, the dirt shrivels up and has cracks. What did it do to all the rain it had before???
