BYC Café

Good morning cafe :frow

The coffee is perking and the tea water boiling so today is off on the right foot.

Cute bunny! Hope your DH is a happier man today.

Aw DD, you know Scott loves you and feels your pain

What's the documentary about?

Babies LOL

It's called Life's Greatest Miracle and it's a Nova documentary thing from the 80s haha

It actually wasn't that bad and only an hour so doesn't drag on like some can but being from the 80s sometimes it was kinda corny or outdated aha and the couple featured in it were weird/awkward and slightly annoying at times but sometimes they were cute!

But it's everything from fertilization and even a little before till birth and it shows the development of the fetus at different stages etc. It wasn't really gross per se but some scenes were. Mostly certain development ones cause they had graphics to show everything. Also they showed the actual birth at the end. Now THAT was gross LOL he warned us beforehand (and I was actually supposed to watch it last week) but I was not prepared to see that lol

Good morning Cafe. Rained all the way from Denver to Albuquerque last night, made for a slow trip home.

Thanks for the coffee Debby, definitely need it today!
Albuquerque was the end of a long miserable trip from Needles CA. back in about '67 or so in the trunk of a car. The fuel pump on the family car was giving up so my step dad stuck me back there with a piece of garden hose with a rag rapped around it and stuffed into the filler neck of the gas tank. Any time the engine would start to quit it was my job to blow gas up to the carburetor. Sure got some funny looks from passers-by. I lasted until Albuquerque.

OMG, that sounds like the crazy sort of stuff that would have happened in my family long ago. The sort of thing we all laugh about now.

In today's world, that would earn a parent some sort of penalty at the very least :hmm
