BYC Café

When we were teenagers we got searched by the cops in a parking lot because they thought we were doing drugs. We were not, but I'm pretty sure they were a bit pissed that they didn't make a 'bust'. Our one friend had a police baton on him, because he was a macho idiot, so they confiscated it. They also confiscated my boyfriends Swiss army/pocket knife which was not illegal. They were asking him if he had it to protect himself making drug deals. Geesh, that was not our scene. But he decided not to make a fuss since his friend could actually get charged with having a prohibited weapon :p

My boyfriend also tried to get into a club once (I wasn't there), and he had a pocket knife he had forgotten about (country kid). So of course the bouncers all started to give him trouble, took the knife and were trying to intimidate him.

Lesson learned...no knives in the city :p
lame.

especially the stick being a prohibited weapon.

Though I still haven't "started" my day yet, I'm loving just sitting by the fire drinking my coffee. Wood stove is "fixed"! Turns out it wasn't broken after all, just needed a good cleaning. Apparently we have an odd liner. Ah well, at least we didn't have to spend as much money.

Anyway, I've started to dream of new chicken breeds to get in the spring and I'm looking through photos lol. I should probably get going!

Morning Crew! Thanks for the hot coffee! It is snowing, looks like maybe a couple-three inches out there. We are not going to get the possible 10. Works for me but DH REALLY wants to plow the driveway with the new tractor, not just tear it up and move mud around, cough, cough... I used it yesterday to bring up more hay from the main stack to the upper pen, a whole 12 bales and I was not tired and toasted for the whole day after "working." DS$ came down with the stomach flu last evening but he is doing much better this AM and I hope no one else in the family gets it.

Hi Margie! We got some snow last night too (but not enough to scare the chickens into staying inside the coop this time, lol). Sorry to hear the flu has made an appearance, hope your DS is fine soon!
