BYC Café

Thanks, Pert.

At least I'm happy I could figure out the plumbing myself and get it fixed! (Pats self on back). Who knows when a plumber would have been able to get here and DH won't be home until Wed night or Thursday. The time spent helping my dad all those years fixing apartments comes in handy once in a while.

that was more excitement than is fun.

Sure is nice though that it was fixable, and wasn't even worse.

And yes, that valve busting when you weren't there to see it is what I was thinking of.... that could have been a nightmare of a flood. :hide

Your snow pictures? All melted now?

Yup! A bit late :lau

But nope, we still have snow! Those last 3 are from yesterday.

The snow is a bit more melted today. Like the backyard is melting faster and there's patches, like along the woods, where there isn't any, but we always keep our snow for forever. We're like a little snow globe lol

I think all the pine trees probably help cause of the shade.

Plus even though it's been like 30s and 40s in the day, it drops down to like 20s at night so it hasn't really had a chance to melt.

It rained that night too, it only snowed till the afternoon if that then rain. So there's a lot of ice too.

Like for example, our driveway is really icy ha. The snow globe effect affects the ice too

And the reason there's so many of almost the same dog one is cause it looked like a good shot so I was trying to get a good one but my phone was almost dead so it did the screen darkening thing so I couldn't see what I was taking so I just took a bunch and hoped for the best haha

I am able to fix an awful lot of things and make things from hanging with my Dad

My DH would love a dishwasher, but it's not in the budget right now. And it's an 18" that we need as it would fit where some drawers come out. But of course the smaller 18" dishwashers are like twice the price of regular size :barnie

Squirrels I could handle, we currently have a rat infestation, so that really sucks.

Snow should be coming my way tonight...I shall post pictures tomorrow if it's a good fall :)

Oh I hate rats. We used to have problems with them when I lived in CA. They used to climb up the palm trees and sit in our bottle trees to eat the pods. You could hear the crunching through the window. Neighbors had a ton of ivy on their slope and they lived in there.

Here we just have field mice. They don't bother me nearly as much.
