Yes, I've rearranged my "standards?" as time goes on. I used to be much "crunchier" (maybe, depends on who you ask), but found that trying to hold myself to a particular ethical standard was making me stressed and depressed.

Different strokes for different folks. Your successes are your own and need not be compared to those of others.

Well sure we all know that, but I think there's a little human nature to it too :). Also I don't think it's all bad to compare, at least with an open and uncritical(of people) mind. My priorities are in order, though when it comes down to it, it's me being down on myself regardless of what anyone else is doing.

To each their own for sure!

You guys are going to think I'm weird, but I collect Hot Wheels. I have since my son was little. Not everything, but things you don't see often. I have the Homer Mobile, a go cart, a bumper car, all kinds of stuff. Today I scored this

Not weird at all. Tons of people collect stuff. That's awesome!

Did i tell you guys my "spayed" cat looks pregnant? The Daddy could only be her son, who recently got snipped. Her belly is swollen up , oh man i hope she isn't. Hubby will not be impressed. View attachment 1216376

Is it possible she's just gained weight or maybe even has an infection or complication from the spay? How long ago was she spayed? You should maybe take her to the vet to get checked out and make sure she doesn't have an infection and/or see if she's pregnant.

And I think it takes like 2 weeks or even a month after neutering for all the sperm to die and for them to become completely infertile.

So it is definitely possible for her to be pregnant depending on how long ago he was neutered.

BUT.

If she was supposedly "spayed" then I find that hard to believe because unlike males where the sperm can be stored, they remove the whole uterus and ovaries and everything, the whole reproductive track, during spay. So it would be pretty hard to mess that up.....

But I suppose it is possible. Unlikely but possible.

I think it's much more likely that she either has an infection or could possibly have a false pregancy. That happens sometimes too. And I think they can gain weight and everything.

I would get her checked out.

I thought she might have gained weight at first but then hubby said she looks pregnant. When they gain weight post spay it usually hangs down like extra skin. Her belly feels exactly like it did when she was pregnant. I has been a couple of months since she was supposedly spayed. But since she does not seem ill, i am not spending a bunch of money to get her checked. If she gets sick i would take her in right away. If she is pregnant, time will tell. Maybe i will listen to her belly with my stethoscope. If she is just fat, nothing will happen. Maybe i should set up a box just in case. I wonder if cats can have 2 uteri?
