I'm ok, thanks. Just get a bit down and don't feel like typing. Now trying to get all my stuff done before surgery in a week and a half. (If I'd known I was going to need surgery i wouldn't have put all those eggs in the incubator!)

I am having a breast biopsy the same day my quail eggs are due to hatch. But i am thinking they may hatch early cause the temp was high initially.

All they had left was a tom turkey! I was late getting there because i had to go pick up dead birds at the post office!

Will lonely Quail cuddle up with a small stuffed animal, how about a mirror? Or does that only work on chickens?

Right now she is cuddled up to a light bulb! I figured since she was stressed she might need a little heat so i put a 60 watt bulb in there. It is right above the ramp so she just was sitting there close to the bulb when i checked her tonight. She seems fine, not fluffed up any more.
However i lost another pullet tonight, likely to Mereks. I just can't catch a break. I have 3 left of 12 chicks i bought mid August, vaccinated at the hatchery.

Yeah, my life stinks. Not looking forward to that breast biopsy on the 20th either. I hope they tell me then and don't make me wait for the report.
