not a bad place to start birds are messy and if you ignore them they will get even
but I need to go to bed

I had a few parakeets growing up amf they were definitely messy but I loved them. I think I had 3 separate groups. The first ones I think I had like 4 but I could've only had 2, idk exactly. Not too friendly but great. Sadly the dog broke in and ate them but I was told they escaped and believed it as there was a feather in the bathroom by the window. Middle school I had 2 and I loved them. Ace and Cupcake. The male was friendlier than the female and he loved country music lol would bob his head to it. Idk what happened to them but I do know one died first and I think the other died of heartbreak shortly after. Looking back now, I think one possibly had a little pasty butt or something but I didn't know enough about birds to do anything about it or tried to help too late. That one was rough cause I loved them, especially Ace. I buried them. Then in high school, I think freshman year, I had a single one named Buffy. Idk what happened to it.

Anyway, I definitely didn't have the greatest track record BUT I have since done tons of research on proper diet and care and all that so I think I'm prepared to have healthy birds this time. Planning on buying a big huge flight cage on Amazon, way bigger than the tiny little things usually sold, and definitely pellets instead of junk mixes. Although still some seeds. And fresh veggies of course. I think I just didn't know enough as a kid.

Late night as we just rolled back in from wrestling. Made it home in great time thanks to a half jug of coffee from the quickie mart plus a package of doughnuts and potato chips. Needed to replenish the salt from the two days spent in very hot gyms and the sugar to keep things interesting and of course, the caffeine to keep me alive!
