Good morning, Café. Tournament end yesterday. Boys squeaked by in the semi finals to win 7/6. They got spanked in the championship game 11/2. A very good team from Connecticut out hit and out pitched them.

Just for the heck of it, I did a little research. This past week 157 teams competed in 6 age group tournaments at this facility. Income, just in entry fees, was $181,265. Add $5/person attending, income from the refreshment stand, and . Most participants are not local so stay at motels and eat in the community. This place is a BIG money maker but also has a significant impact on local economy.

Good morning Cafe, time for coffee, tea or whatever floats your boat!

@igorsMistress yes, do love the green grass in the front yard! (Just wish the mosquitos would go away so we could enjoy being out more. Dern bugs.)

For mosquitoes I use these

They sell them at the dollar stores and on line. They burn like incense and can go 8 hours. I set it on the table near my coffee cup and enjoy the ducks and chickens. It really does keep them at bay.

Also my grandma always told me its best to have someone out with you that eats more sugar than you do. She said the skeeters can smell it in the blood and go for the sweetest first.

SUGAR huh? No one ever told me that I am doomed, the mosquitoes are waiting on the outer door(no joke) waiting for me to leave the house.

How do they feel about artificial sweeteners? Give me some hope
