I'm pretty sure you're right about that :gig

Good morning Shad. Did you get a PFM?

I find it interesting you have a witch in your vicinity. I would stop to talk too, and to visit the animals. Here we never really see the neighbors often. People seem to stay in their homes with doors locked and window shades drawn. AZ is a weird place.
She's a good witch. Incredible knowledge of herbs and local wildlife. She also knows about everyone who has lived here for any length of time.

People here are in general very friendly. Because the weather is normally decent and most people here with any land at all grow stuff, there are often people out and about.

That's one thing about the people around here. They really aren't very friendly and if you haven't been born/raised here or work where they do, then you don't count for much. And their main form of recreation is drinking.

DH and I don't "fit" well. Hoping we can move along at some point.

There are quite a few like me who have internet and turn on their computers in the morning and leave them on throughout the day while they do stuff outside.
Most of the old houses and local people leave their doors open all day and animals seem to come and go. Having hard floors which most have here helps so footwear changes aren't necessary and mess on the floor is easy to deal with. I've found goats in the couple down the tracks kitchen when I've visited, there are often chickens in the witches house, dogs of course. The guys at the bottom of the track used to have a donkey that wandered into the hall from time to time.

Most here drink, but they drink wine and the kids are allowed in the bars so alcohol becomes more of a social thing and in general treated in a responsible manner.

They sound like people at ease with their surroundings and a closer to nature type lifestyle.

Had to laugh about the goats in the kitchen! We raised a few goats in FL...those little things are ornery!
