BYC Café

Most here drink, but they drink wine and the kids are allowed in the bars so alcohol becomes more of a social thing and in general treated in a responsible manner.

Around here it's beer and hard alcohol and a lot of it. At the golf course where DH & I work, it's nothing to see people spend $50-$100 during an afternoon just on booze. Then they get in their cars and trucks to drive on the highway to go home in the neighboring town.

Crazy. And unsafe for everyone.

I'm not a tea-totaler but people should know their limits.

Thanks for the coffee, Shad and IM
I brewed a new pot, if anyones interested.

Everyone make it a great day! :celebrate

That's one thing about the people around here. They really aren't very friendly and if you haven't been born/raised here or work where they do, then you don't count for much. And their main form of recreation is drinking.

DH and I don't "fit" well. Hoping we can move along at some point.

Same thing here, we don't really drink much and don't find it fun to get drunk every weekend.

I'm a compulsive poop checker. Lots of the wild things use the track and use the edge of the track to 'unload'.
I usually stop and talk to the goats and chickens at the place two farms down.
Clost to the bottom of the track are a couple of Border Collies that belong to one of my favorite people around here so I stop and chat to them.
If the witch is out collecting herbs I stop and 'chat' to her.
A lot depends on the time of year.
You must be kin to Kathy. She's a well known poop inspector here at byc.
