Yep, they are and almost as broody as Blacktailed White Japs.
Really liked mine but too hard to get exceptional show quality birds....or at least I had problems breeding show quality.

Yep, sometimes, or at least with mine a few of the hens were "more" broody than some of the others...both Japs and D'Unccles are great mothers.

What I loved about them was the feather pattern and colors, plus if they are protected from walking around in mud their feathered legs can get outstanding.
Had D'Anvers too, loved all 3 breeds but Japs were my favorite.

Opps, forgot to tell ya, they tame down very easily, mine were almost too tame. It was good for show birds though, didn't get all bent out of shape when being handled/ crated.

Tolbunt Polish chickens, are that color. Cap has some frizzled Tolbunts too.
