BYC Café

Thaw break.
MN is really off Her meds today. One minute it's sunny, the next it's blowing frozen rain at me.
The chickens are being a major pain. I have spent a large portion of the day tossing them out of the work site. Fabio and I have had words. He flogged me for pushing him out of the way. I just stood there looking at him and he eventually gave up the bravado and walked off but he's got his knickers in a twist today because of all the activity and me tossing his girls out.

I had young Mag fly at me in a rage fit yesterday.
He was in the middle of having a scrap with Notch and he seemed to be winning. He was not impressed when I split them up. Punch, his dad, who had been watching the fight, told him off afterwards. He was very contrite afterwards and hung around the edges when I gave the rest of his tribe their supper. It's always a risk when splitting up fights and I don't tell them off.
I wouldn't normally have split them up but Notch already had a very bloody wattle and I didn't want to spend any more time than necessary patching notch up.:rant

He'd been doing okay during the construction. He didn't like it and crowed his little head off. But I couldn't keep them out of the coop yesterday because I'd taken a piece of siding and the doors off the front so in they came.

You should have seen the mess they made on the mess I made when I went back out after lunch! That is when they received their final eviction and were escorted out of the building. He, Barb and Rhoda just wouldn't stop coming back in. All I did was give him a very light shove to encourage him to jump out and he snapped. He really didn't know quite what to make of me just standing there looking at him as if to say "is that the best you've got little man?" I'm hoping for better behavior today. At least I got the siding and doors back on.
