I sold most of them. And i am mostly hatching Silvers and Gold , which sell well.
It's been almost a month since I got my runner ducks, they love being outside in their run in the little pond all day. Dont even want to come in at dark:30. My question is ,when can I let them just move in to the duck run/coop for good? They don't have feathers on their backs, but do have some on the chests, tails and wings. They hate being inside, but I'm worried it might get too cold at night, even if I run a cord and keep the heat lamp on them. Keep in mind I'm in Alabama and it's in the 80s days and 50 - low 60s at night. Any insight?

I have no experience with ducks Becca (would love to someday!). Hopefully someone here can answer your question.

I would think that would be plenty warm enough but I am not sure. I know people move them outside in way colder weather but I’m not sure if they usually have more feathers or not. But I think they usually feather faster outside too, being under a heat lamp inside it may be a while before they fully feather. But I would think as long as their coop and run is warm and safe and relatively draft free they should be okay. You could always try it and then move them back inside if they do poorly. Or you could try taking the heat lamp away inside first and seeing how they do?

But I am not too sure about ducks so I am going to tag some duck people.

Are these your first ducks Becca?

Sending great hatching vibes to anyone entering the Easter Hatch- A- Thon :thumbsup

Thanks DD! Pretty sure I screwed up so I can use all the luck I can get.
