Good morning Cafe.
Coffee is made.
It's going to be a bad day. Blue Spot isn't getting any better and it's time to do the kindest thing.

I'm sorry Shad, I really hate it for you. I just can't help but think how lucky little Blue Spot is, to have you to care for and about her. To extend her life such a long time and to be there to see it end gently and gracefully and not let her suffer. Nature is not kind but you are. Thank you on her behalf. I know it's hard.Good morning Cafe.

Yay! 13 additions to your flock! I bet the are soooo cute! Can you post a pic of your bunny hutch brooder? It sounds cool!Good morning cafe
I'm pleased to report a very successful hatch with all the babies having naked necks13 little fluff balls are in the brooder chattering away. I must say that I really like a bunny hutch as a brooder. When I opened the little enclosed section this morning it was nice and toasty but not hot. We'll see how much racket they make today. I'm hoping to keep them inside until next weekend.
Happy Friday everyone![]()

What a brilliant idea! I love it, and it look really easy to clean and maintain. They look happy!View attachment 1743872 View attachment 1743873 View attachment 1743874
This is the first I've brooded this way, so it's still trial and error. I put hwc on the bottom grate so the chicks can walk around. Here's inside the mostly enclosed side
