BYC Café

Shad, yes please to bread and cheese it sounds fantastic! Can't wait to read your article, I've been waiting for that one.
It's not exactly what one would describe as a neutral article.:gig
It's probably going to annoy a few people; maybe a lot of people.:p
Still, those that are interested might read it and that's a start. There are others who just won't like the tone and stance. Can't be helped. It needed writing and the article itself is okay. I haven't tried to tell anyone what they should do, just written about what I've observed with the tribes here and the posts on BYC.

I've got Fudge in the hospital this afternoon. Something, or someone has put a hole in the side of her head just behind her eye and just above her ear.
The wound doesn't look bad but there is a puncture mark that may be quite deep. She's got one eye permanently closed so she isn't safe outside. You need both eyes here.
I've cleaned it with Chlorhexidine and applied some Betadine. I've also given her a half dose of Metcam for the pain. She's stopping with me for the night which is nice.:love

No it's not neutral, but you don't go half way on things do you :gig

I hope Fudge is ok!

Thanks, I think probably thanks for the not going halfway comment as well:p.
Fudge is eating so that's good. She'll probably be wanting to go home in half an hour or so and that's not so good because I can't let her out until she opens that eye.
I've had a look at the eye itself and I can't see any damage. It's probably/hopefully just painful.

Sorry to hear this Shad, hope she's gonna be alright! :fl:hugs

Sour, I know this is a tense day for you, Dani & Princess. I'm hoping & praying everything's going well! :hugs:fl:fl:fl:fl:fl:fl:fl:fl:fl:fl:hugs

Thanks, at this point no news is good news. I am assuming that she did not die during surgery or we would have heard. Princess got a little weepy this AM when I left for the vets office. Yeah, it's sort of stressful right now.

"Sort of stressful" sounds like the understatement of the day. I'm hoping it will give her a new lease on life like Meatys surgery did for him.:fl Hey if a pug can do it, a golden should be, ya know, golden! :hugs

I also hope the surgery goes well. Sick animals stress caring people. :hugs
