BYC Café

I'm a boomer but, to my knowledge have screamed at the Beatles' concerts but have never boomed at anything.

Today is NOT my day. Today I make(or try to) my spaghetti sauce with meat. At least twice I burned it beyond belief while I standing at the stove allegedly watching it.
Today I found the ground beef sitting on the counter totally thawed out from yesterday (kitchen temps in the 80's) so tossed that. Have to start over or give up.

Picked up my cellphone which I never use and discover BYC has invaded it. I have never used it for BYC in any way. How did it get my phone number? And how do I get it off?

I love BYC but, I don't want it on my phone. My brother has my number because he put my phone on his calling plan for an extra $ 10. per month. My son has the number because he gave me the phone. They want to be able to reach me 24/7. I do not like that either. If I decide to die or fall down and not get up, maybe I'd send them an email but that is it. I don't wear no stinkin" leashes.

The only thing I use the cell phone for, is the music play list (my favorite songs) my son put up for me. My brother has been on the phone with me since I started writing this.
He drains the battery or ??? and I have to recharge it after he gets off. Maybe I should forget.

Well my brother is still going strong. So I will end this. My son can take care of this but, doesn't like to be bothered before he calls on Sunday. So many rules.:th

Ok y’all, got myself a good opportunity to make some extra money on my birds but I’ve never done it before. Someone wants to buy fertile eggs from me. I usually only sell pullets and cockerels. I have a few questions 1) how long are eggs viable? 2) how much should I charge?
Also thinking about buying an incubator finally.

@sourland great news on Dani!!!!

10 days on fertile eggs, after that the viability starts dropping exponentially but some may still be viable at 2 weeks.

I know! Some people.
Here it is, a blast from the past.

Tonya, is that you in the middle? Great picture!

It's not exactly what one would describe as a neutral article.:gig
It's probably going to annoy a few people; maybe a lot of people.:p
Still, those that are interested might read it and that's a start. There are others who just won't like the tone and stance. Can't be helped. It needed writing and the article itself is okay. I haven't tried to tell anyone what they should do, just written about what I've observed with the tribes here and the posts on BYC.

I thought it was a good article, don't know what people would be annoyed by.

@sourland good news on Dani! Have a relaxing evening :D

@A_Fowl_Guy glad your brother cleared the air and all is well. Good deal on putting those birds to work, sell those eggs!
