It's been interesting to watch. How will you tell if her improvement is due to vitamins, etc. or due to being less broody?
I can't really. If she's still wrong in a couple of weeks then It would seem reasonable to assume that the broodiness is over and there is another problem, but suppose the problem is she can't stop being broody.

A few years ago I had a non-stop broody hen. Nothing I tried worked to stop her. A friend pooh poohed me and said she could get her to stop. So I gave the hen to her and lol, turns out she couldn't stop the poor girl either. Some are just incredibly stubborn that way I guess

I've read this from you multiple times. I have a very mixed flock of 18 breeds in a flock of 26. I've not seen behavioral issues. The WLHs stick together only at roosting time but they are side by side in the ranking. The only other times I've seen same breeds hanging out are with the two Cuckoo Marans chicks. Otherwise they all intermingle.

Yup my rooster didn't care what the ladies looked like and hated one of "his own kind" so I disagree. Breeds are all a mix of something else. If they really cared, how'd we get all the breeds?

Morning! Sounds like things are rolling along nicely here.
It is SUNNY and not freezing. :yesss:
No, this cold spell is not normal even for our elevation. My lilac hasn't even bloomed yet, or maybe it started but the hail came. I will know in a couple of days because it is supposed to be hot; I think near 75...
Have a great day and thanks for the coffee.
