Guineas are usually pretty good at avoiding things but it catches up to them sooner or later. Another bit of bad news regarding my oldest boxer. He’s barley moving around and his gums and eyelids are white. Taking him to the vet tomorrow to see if he will be ok with medication or if it’s best to put him down. He’s 9 years old.

This is so sad!!! :hit:hugs We lost our boxer at 10. It felt way too young. Those guys seem to live their lives to the fullest & then just stop. Its heartbreaking! Many hugs Guy! :hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs

Sorry to hear that, white gums equals severe anemia. He needs iron. Now.

I'd be concerned that he is bleeding internally, and tomorrow will be too late. Something similar happened to the golden before our last one. She had a hemangiosarcoma on her spleen that burst and she started bleeding internally. Rushed her to the vet, had a splenectomy, and she lived another 2 + years. Good luck with him.

I believe it’s just old age. His gums have been getting pale over the last week. He is vomiting occasionally as well. Off feed too. He doesn’t act in pain, just tired.
