BYC Café

Thank you Meg. When my mother was offered senior discounts she used to have a fit and tell them she wasn't a senior. She could not except reality. I was thrilled to get discounts that allowed me to buy things I otherwise couldn't afford.

My brother -3 years younger than me got discounts even earlier than I did just because he went bald early.Come to think of it, the tiny bit of hair he has left, hasn't turned gray, it's still brown.

I was going gray in high school and used to pull out the offensive hairs until I realized I was pulling out so many I had bald spots. Now I let my hair free range no matter what color it is.

My son flew in for my birthday. I told him he could send his GF a current photo of me, he refused to take one. Actually my hair is snow silver and I actually love the color. The ladies on the senior bus have a fit that I have let it grow beyond shoulder length.

Old ladies are supposed to have short hair or a bun I guess. Fine, that's them NOT me.
I love the pretty and natural grey/silver that some are blessed with. I'm hoping mine doesn't get that dingy yellow look  How come he wouldn't take a picture?

I got my first gray at 23 (such a novelty...thought it was funny) and now I've got a fair amount (in my mind), but I decided to quit dying my hair last year after Ma was diagnosed. I like your idea of saying you let your hair free range. I might steal that from you, if that's okay :)

I think senior discounts are a bonus! I'll gladly take them when I'm able

Good morning, Cafe.
Thanks for the coffee, Shad. I think I saw a hair sprout on my chest! Easy does it on the grounds pal. :barnie How was your sling shooting last night?

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, DD!! Glad to hear you didn't gain any weight looking at all that ice cream... I think I did.

I am now waiting for my local vet office to open so I can get an appointment for Ben. He's off. His movements remind me of when Bridget got Lyme disease but his symptoms are much milder. I've got all of them on Advantix but I did remove a tick from him quite a while ago, not too engorged.
He wasn't as excited as he typically is when I took them to run yesterday but he still seemed to enjoy the run. Later in the day, you could just tell he didn't feel good and was stiff all over. Thank goodness I have some Novox left over from Bridget's bum knee that I was able to give him. He seemed much more comfortable this morning. Poor boy.
That's too bad, Dobie. I hope he starts to feel better and doesn't have lyme disease. How old is Ben?

Morning Cafe

Well, it was a hot and muggy, sweaty weekend. Got up to 87°F in the house but it is a cool 78°F now. Replaced the start/run capacitor and YIPPEE!!!! Can't believe the other start/run capacitor only lasted 1 year...they are usually good for at least 3 years, too bad they don't warranty the parts. Cost me $40.47 + my labor
Hope everyone else had a pleasant weekend.
Nice! Glad your AC is back in business :clap

Good morning Cafe.
Coffee is made. Watch out my hand slipped when adding coffee so it's a tad on the strong side.
Happy Birthday Nancy.View attachment 1838551

Best coffee I've had all week!

:fl:fl Fingers crossed for Ben! :fl:fl

It was! They also had an ice cream concoction called "the Pig's Trough," and if you ate one all by yourself, the siren went off (of course) and the whole room was informed, and you were given this pin:

:yaYES!!!! :weeEAT THE PIG! EAT THE PIG!!!! :ya

I’m here! Lost Rokki and darn Chewwi goes and gets skunked.
There was a dead skunk in the road on the way to work this morning. I moved way over from it to avoid getting the skunk musk on the wheels. The car behind me straddled it!
:sick
