Barb thought tonight was a good night for the kids to roost with the flock. The kids are 15 days old.

I, however, had to disagree and put her on the coop floor. I grabbed one chick and put it with her and the other two flew down on their own. They all went back to the brooder with lots of content peeps.
Then the pullets felt safe enough to come in and go to roost. They couldn't get up there with her at the end of their roost. They don't get within 5 get of her. This is going to be a problem.
 
Saturday is rooster processing day, wish me luck!

I candled the 2 shipped eggs tonight, they both have veins but loose air cells. I read a few interesting articles about how long to turn eggs while incubating, and I've been considering the dynamics of this project. My head is spinning:th

Sat here ate half of bag of rainier cherries we had bought gave a handful to BF then ate the rest of the bag call it a late desert BF had built these roofs for two feeders I put out for the youngsters to get food well they are pvc but open tubes tonight we decided to paint them keep the plywood not to buckle of course thunder rolls lightening and rain out in it hurry get the roofs up made it check in the morning see if any got wet

Cloudy and nice here in the dark. I heard dogs barking and I walked down closer to the valley to make sure they were not hassling the horses. All is well.
