The utility easement runs on the far side of my lot - most cheapskates (oops I mean people) just throw their garbage there, box springs, old carpeting, broken picnic tables, etc. etc.

I called the police once to report that. She said since it's NOT on my property, I should mind my own business.

That’s ridiculous!! People have no respect. And that lady is an idiot. Isn’t dumping and littering illegal? What’s it matter who’s property it’s on or not on?

Morning cafe. Was watching the bubble headed idiot read the facebook ("news") report today and they said cursive writing is obsolete. Interesting...how would anyone be able to read the Constitution or many of the older documents from our history? I suppose they'd have to trust tptb to tell the truth

I've heard both in FL and WY that cursive isn't being taught in schools any more. That's a shame, not sure that's doing the kids any good. Also heard they only learn how to tell time using digital clocks, not analog.

What gets me is kids are going to school for longer periods of the year but they seem to be coming out dumber. What's the point?

They go to school longer because the school districts are on the government dole. The longer they are in school the more money the government gives to the school districts. <sigh> and you wonder why the schools are so inadequate.

They're traching the kids to pass the tests so they keep the jobs they don't want because they don't pay enough. $50k a year with tons of vacation and never have to worry about what to do with the kids over summer...must be harsh.

Wow. You're gone one day and you spend 1/2 hour catching up. Whew! I missed out on planking walking, sharks, casino winners, coop naming, dumps and cursive writing (kids today probably think that means you curse while you write)!

I have a lead on a potential part time engineering position. One of my former gold line operators had an interview with this company, which happens to be a 1 minute drive from where we currently work, and she mentioned my situation to the hiring manager. He asked her to have me text him. I still can't find my resume so I'll have to start over on it but I'll text him later this morning and see what shakes out.
