Good morning, Cafe.
I woke up to the sound of rain. It is very relaxing and I almost just stayed in bed. Then heard the boys crowing and decided I'd better remain responsible and get up to feed the horde.

These birds are just stunning to look at. If I had the space for a second chicken keeping setup, I'd get something like that.

G'morning cafe. It's about 0330 PDT. Been up since 0200 or so, the rooster was crowing frantically and that's unusual so something was in the yard. Whatever it was is gone now, Igor is snoring and I've been out to water some stuff in the front yard and I made a fresh pot of coffee to add to Shads before the morning rush.

You were out watering plants in the middle of the night?! That's great!

I've suffered insomnia for years and I can't stand just laying there not being able to sleep. One night I decided to wire up the receptacle for the dryer down in the basement, of course using Fabio's much maligned power driver to set the screws on the terminals and put the cover on the electric box. I still had my ear plugs in when I looked up to find DH sitting on the top steps watching me. I demurely asked "You didn't hear me down here, right? You got up for a drink of water and then heard me right?" He just smiled at me, shook his head and went back to bed. Oops.

Yay for rain, I wish we could have some. Of course , not on Saturday... going to the swap. And good morning. Left male Cinnamon buns on the counter, female buns in the cupboard!

I'll help myself to one of the male Cinnamon buns. Delicious!

Morning! Thanks for the coffee. It is starting to cool off here too but today, we will have one last day of 80F and then a chance of rain for the rest of the week. Enjoy the day!

I've been known to clean house in the middle of the night but watering is quieter and doesn't wake up the hubs. I have to take the dogs with me though or they get him up because hey, Mom is up and they're up so Dad should be too

Lucky you got rain! All we got was wind, a few sprinkles and a couple of thunder claps last night.
