Don't work too hard out in that heat! I've had real troubles when I get to the end of the tunnel on a project and just won't stop, not even long enough to drink. Big trouble.
I am old enough to know my limits, and I take regular breaks. Gatorade and lots of water consumed. Plus it's fairly shady most of the day in the woods.

Still too hot for me. I'm just not cut out for heat like that. I love the cool weather we are having now. Autumn is hands down my favorite season.
Growing up, I liked fall and winter because in the spring and summer was poison ivy season...I'm highly allergenic to PI ...I can read about it and get it on me!

The shade will help.
I'm also old enough to know my limits but stubborn and determined enough to ignore them! :D

Gasp! How beautiful!! :love:love:love
I remember the first picture. You posted that one before but I don't remember the second.
Thanks, can hardly wait to hatch some of their babies! Just hatched some Giant cochins, mille Mille fleurs D'uccles, Crested Cream Legbars and Tolbunt polish. Pictures when I get a second.

OMG, I HATE poison ivy, poison oak and any other poison plants that leave that horrid rash on you.
When we first bought this place it was sorely neglected. I was mowing along the wood line and somehow managed to get a swipe across the underside of my arm. The rash managed to spread halfway across my abdomen. It was terrible. It took about 4 weeks for me to get it under control.
Ben even got into some this year.
I have a scrub that is supposed to get rid of the oils in the skin. It's what finally got the spreading rash under control 3 years ago.

You have some of the breeds I've always wanted but won't get because I know they would not fare well in my flock.

I had to get steroids to kill my rash. I swear half the trees on our 13 acres have the vines on them, some vines bigger around than my arm. Vinegar stings, but helps kill the itch.
