OMG, I HATE poison ivy, poison oak and any other poison plants that leave that horrid rash on you.
When we first bought this place it was sorely neglected. I was mowing along the wood line and somehow managed to get a swipe across the underside of my arm. The rash managed to spread halfway across my abdomen. It was terrible. It took about 4 weeks for me to get it under control.
Ben even got into some this year.
I have a scrub that is supposed to get rid of the oils in the skin. It's what finally got the spreading rash under control 3 years ago.
I got blood poisoning from it one time, it wasn't just a rash, it was open, weeping bloody sores, had to have a series of shots to finally get rid of it...miserable time, limpth glands swollen, fever and the unbearable itch.
I found out that if I rinse myself off with bleach after a good soaping wash, the oil doesn't stand a chance. Some peeps are allergic to bleach but I'm not.

A bleach rinse is pretty drastic but the alternative for you even more so. I would be out there with a weed burner annihilating the stuff.

I just avoid it...it's supprising how fast you can spot it after a horrible bout of it.

If you breathe it while burning it can get into your lungs, throat and that can lead to death...so I won't be burning it either...nobody else in the family was allergic to it so, I'd spot it and they would pull it up or chop it down. :D

Still too hot for me. I'm just not cut out for heat like that. I love the cool weather we are having now. Autumn is hands down my favorite season.

Autumn has always been my favorite too. Here we can literally smell the cool air and moisture.
