@DobieLover hope that today goes surprisingly well. We're part of that Friday weather pattern, but accumulation should be minimal.

I'm on lunch break in Endicott. I've managed to avoid going to Binghamton so far today. Maybe tomorrow morning will be my debut. I promised a bunch of SPC charts and data on the processes that are transferring to TTM (not that i3 cares any longer) but my new manager okay'd the work.

My best friend and Plating Engineer mentor, John, is going to TTM and will be at an office complex less than 10 miles from the Binghamton site I will be working at. He was here at Endicott this morning too.
He came up to me before leaving for the day and said, "did you see the Wizard of Oz?".
"Yes", I said.
John then said with a broken voice and a tear in his eye, "At the end of the movie, Dorothy said to the Scarecrow 'I'll miss you most of all'." Then he hugged me and had me crying!
Uugh! This is tough.

Why that name? You have very interesting names for your birds.

I do give them some unusual names.
I called her Hurry because that's what she does. Her mother Ruffles is extremely sedate in gait. Ruffles doesn't believe in rushing. She does make steady progress though and Hurry gets caught out and left behind a bit. Mostly I see Ruffles ambling along with Hurry hurrying along to catch up with her.
After a while, names get quite difficult.

Good morning, Cafe, and thanks for the coffee.

We are right at the freezing point this morning and heading up to about 50F.

Our first snow is in the forecast for this Friday and Saturday with the temps expected to remain below freezing during the day.

I have 4 more tarps to make to wrap up the run but the sides that receive the most wind are covered. I hope to get the last 4 tarps done before Friday.

Today will be my first official work day at the Binghamton site and I'm not looking forward to it. I've spoken to only one person who actually enjoys it there.

What is it that they don't like?

The atmosphere, the lack of communication and direction and the general management of the place.
It is also not well known for hiring 'fine upstanding citizens'. More like druggies puking on the sides of cars in the parking lot. And the plant is located in a dicey area of Binghamton.

Other than that, it sounds fabulous!

All kidding aside, give it a chance Dobie. Just because others don't care for the place doesn't mean you won't like it ok.
