BYC Café

I need to seriously detox. I’ve had a lot of sugar, but that’s not as bad as all the processed, preserved, poison that I’ve been eating. Having holidays & people in town with 2 hospice dogs has made it impossible to take the time to cook real food. I’ve been popping biscuits out of a can & making boxed & mass produced frozen food with fillers & preservatives ... All major no, no’s for my particular constitution. I think I’m done feeding outside guests till February, so hope I can get back on track this week. I still see too much sugar in my future, but as long as it’s real sugar with no fake additives that’s not a problem.
I've got to ask now, why do you have to watch the preservatives; apart from common sense that is?

Rivet and lock from Tribe 2 are turning into pro tree huggers much like the rest of their family. I've been having to head them off at roost time. They are at that stage where the rest of the tribe no longer cuts them any slack for being chicks/young pullets. They're last in the line for food and aren't allowed treats. They also have to observe roosting protocol now and that means they have to wait, usually till last, to go in the coop. If they are not in the coop when that time to roost drive kicks in, they head for the trees.:hmm
If they go up early it's usually with the seniors and the now pullets will follow them down. If on the other hand they go up on their own, they need fetching.:he
