She's beautiful Dobie!
Thanks IM!
She's smart. She's picking up quickly what is expected of her. I only had to put her back to her own bed 6 or 7 times before she understood that is where she is expected to sleep.
She's scared of the yard. She grew up in a subdivision so the woods behind my house are scary. Who'd have ever thought of that?
She also picked up with about 6 or 7 repetitions that she must wait to eat her food when I put it down, she can't just eat it because it's on the floor. She's going to be a great dog.

She's still a little nervous. I've never had a dog display displaced nursing behavior before so I just looked it up and lo and behold, the Doberman is a breed known for a strong propensity for this behavior.

That's so sweet & a little sad.:hugs Once she settles in I will be very curious to know when she does it. Will it be a normal, soothing bedtime thing or only when shes nervous? Please keep us posted.

My friend had a cat that would curl up & suck its tail to put himself to sleep. She said he had been weened too early, but it was THE CUTEST THING. He'd get up from a nap all casual like he hadn't been doing it, but the tip of his tail would be all wet. :lau

Sounds like she's going to fit in well with your pack. Do your dogs typically go into the woods?

There's a guy that brings his pair to the dog park, not a breeding pair, and they have so much fun running and romping around with everyone. I often think of you when I see them.

I'm so happy for you and Bella both :)

Happy birthday, Cap!!
Thanks DL, it was a good day. But I got a bit of a sunburn! Can you imagine 70° in Virginia at the end of December? My skin is not used to it. I planted a big bush and a mum plant. Had to get a wagon of sand from down by the river. Thank goodness the Mule pulled it up the hill!

I really like lizards, always have.
He even has a stumpy foot :D He's definitely a unique little guy.
