Good morning, Cafe. I took the last cup and piece of chocolate birthday cake I found in the fridge. A fresh pot of coffee is on.

We are at a CHILLY 14F this morning.

I understand the farmer's anger - stupid city people, driving out there, trespassing on his land to turn their useless dogs loose to worry and kill his livestock; acting like they own the place, no thought at all for the people who have to make a living on the land, etc. Having to regularly remove all manner of trash that people dump in the ditch on the back side of our property, it's not much of a stretch for me to slip into his head space. It's probably a good thing it was just the car he found, or he might be facing charges of assault, or worse. It is funny that the police car got stuck, but if I read the farmer right, that probably just fueled his righteous indignation even more.

Taking out the dogs while in the act if killing your animals I get. I've been involved with the same situation and both dogs where shot.
Taking out the tires and windows on the owners car... well, maybe consider joining an anger management support group.

Idk, he probably felt better afterwards. Mediterranean temperament and all that.
I look on the bright side thinking at least he didn't shoot the dog owner.

This was the sad fate of that cable I worked so hard to replug on Monday.
The insulation sleeve split on one of the branches during the final oven cure.

It took me about 7 hours to remove everything from the Y transition down the branches, get replacement parts and start rebuilding it.
I completely lost track of time thinking it was maybe an hour past quitting time. I bolted for the exit when I looked up at the clock to see it was nearly 8:00 pm! I got to work at 7:30 yesterday morning.

I do understand his frustration having had my share of dog problems here. Most here keep dogs and most I have spoken to are fond of their dogs and I don't believe take any pleasure in killing other peoples dogs.
Until you've seen dogs attacking and harassing livestock and the total chaos it causes, not to mention the damage and the time involved collecting up the stock that has scattered, fixing what gets broken, trying to save the injured etc etc. While all that is going on you've got some imbecile of an owner blowing on a whistle and shouting at their dogs, if you're lucky, who pay absolutely no attention to the owner. What's even worse, after the chaos is over and you speak to the dog owner, they'll tell you they do train their dogs and they wouldn't hurt a fly.

Boy, that'll take the wind out of your sails (but if the air suddenly turned blue, it's justified)!

And while I think it is commendable that you can be that focused and absorbed with your work, I think a 12 1/2-hour work day is just a bit of a muchness.

That outer covering DL, is it flexible heat shrink sleeving?

But the great thing about my work week is, it's only 3 days long. And now I have 2 hours of comp time to take next week at my convenience. My normal work day is 10 hours with 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break.
