I know someone who lost chicks to fire ants. They are absolutely vicious! Have you seen them floating in mats on floodwater? It's crazy.

They're amazing creatures, but I don't want them at my house.

There are ways to prevent that. You're supposed to remove your wet clothes instantly and there's a few other things. I can't think of them right now. My mind isn't thinking right tonight

I was 1 mile from my house so I would have jumped in the car and headed home to a warm tub!!

Yeah, my friend said she stripped to nothing after the polar plunge and went to her car she's super athletic and does it for charity

I am happy that you did not fall in! about 5 years ago a BYC member and her Daughter drowned in their pond trying to save a Llama. The Llama was fine but they did not make it.

No when you get out you do... There are ways to prevent it. I think keeping moving is another way too.

My friend dies some polar plunge I'm Massachusetts every year and she knows what to do so she doesn't get it.

I would hope she doesn’t die!

That makes sense though. I’m sure there are but accidents do still happen unfortunately.
