How's the splinter DL?

It's kinda funny. The one under the finger nail is definitely all out and healing well.
I never noticed the one in the joint of my pinky finger! It's red and inflamed. I'll get it under the microscope with a fresh exacto knife blade and get it out, disinfect and bandage it. I'm back at work.

Look pal, I've been working hard with this little guy and he deserves some props for his behavior yesterday. He's coming along. I can tell he's scared of me. So the fact that he let me touch him multiple times without going on the defense is great progress.
And I'd also like to share, again, why I'm keeping him.
ALL the hens love him. He has rescued them countless times from that nitwit, Captain. And Fabio also now understands that when I suddenly point in some direction, he's to look that way and he will always find Captain either chasing down or pulling the head feathers of an unwilling lady. And that squatty little body tears off to the rescue. We make a good team keeping Junior in line.

Yesterday things got desperate here. The coffee maker is just over 10 years old and has been giving me a bit of trouble over the last year. Yesterday morning it didn't brew at all!!

I don't ask for a lot. I have a lot going on and too much stress to list. I just want my coffee! After unplugging and replugging and flipping dials on and off I finally got a pot out of it. Oh thank the gods of coffee! And we have success again this morning as I can hear it bubbling away on the counter. I have a replacement coming Wednesday evening so it just has to keep it's act together for two more days. You can DO IT, coffee maker!!!

Coffee is very important!
