The juncos that I tossed out of the run by constantly removing their nest starts finally took the hint.
They started one in the fern hanging right outside the run and under the coop roof overhang. Much better for them.

And my privacy hedge row is so much better with the dappled willow instead of the holly. The holly kept drowning. The willow are thriving. They've doubled in size since I put them in last summer. They grow so fast!

Dappled willow. They are large shrubs. New growth is pink, white and pale green.

Good morning Café.
It rained off and on yesterday. Sometimes quite hard. But it's cooled off and the temp feels much better now.
The woman who said she was getting ready for Captain changed her mind. Said she and her boyfriend thought Captain might be mean. Maybe they should have asked about that BEFORE saying they'd take him. I told her he wasn't at all but they still backed out. I think these people see a picture of a pretty rooster and just react and say they want him before actually thinking about it.
