It might have been the male cat you sawI think someone or something killed all the kittens at my mom's house.
When I left work at her house last night all were alive, active and well and eating the dinner I had left out for them along with their mom.
When I stopped to feed them this morning on the way to the fields to run the dogs, they were all gone. Mom was there. I hoped they were just sleeping deeper under the deck. EVERY single time I've been there since they showed up, they are there and easy to find.
When I went to work this morning, most of the food was still on the plate. Mom was there. No kittens. I sat there with her and cried over them. They were coming around. They were rambunctious little devils playing with each other and I was trying to tame them so they would have a chance for a better life.
Maybe that black cat I saw yesterday morning had something to do with it.
Maybe some evil human did.
I'll never know.
I miss peaking out the window and watching their antics. And I feel so bad for their mother.
Why would it do that?It might have been the male cat you saw
Yep, 96° here, in the shade. Thanks Mother Nature for the breeze!Too blasted hot, Cap.
It's 92° here, "Realfeel" is 98°. I'm thinking about taking the dogs to the creek and jumping in Bella's swimming hole...Yep, 96° here, in the shade. Thanks Mother Nature for the breeze!

Oh Crap!!I think someone or something killed all the kittens at my mom's house.
I have heard of male cats killing kittens. I do not know why they do it though. added: Penny answered the questionWhy would it do that?
I'm not ever sure of it's gender. I just assumed it could have been the father as it looked quite similar to the two black kittens.
Sounds correct. Nature can be brutal!A male that want to breed Momma cat will kill them to bring her back to heat
