Really rather inconsequential but somehow semi-satisfying,
I was able to trim a few branches off the fallen pine
and get the bent but not broken front fence back in place.

Can we say 'FLOOD' ? I mean Isaias is whaling us with 4" of rain/hour. The sump pump in the new section of the cellar became overwhelmed, and cellar started flooding. No problem as I have 2 other pumps in the old section; however, all of the Princess's impending projects are on the cellar floor. :barnie Lots of moving of 'stuff' and squeegeing of the cellar. Rain had backed off a bit, and sump is not overflowing right now, but we are supposedly in for at least 3 more hours of rain. :he
I hope it passes quickly Mr sourland.:hugs

It's been a rather grey but reasonably pleasant day here. Temperatures didn't get much above 25C and it only spat a little rain having done the rest during the night. Such a relief from the high thirties temps a couple of days before.
22C in the bedroom which is comfortable sleeping temperature for me so that's what I'm going to do.;)

It's one of the reasons I prefer science
but the history of science shows how much interpretation there is in scientific endeavours...
That is where forensic archeology comes in
but archaeologists are every bit as prone to rose-tinted glasses and blind spots as historians, scientists and indeed all of us...

that is true, but they can tell a lot about what happened by the bones. As an example, they found evidence of Muslim worship in Scandinavian graves which was not expected according to History
