All good ones Sally. How about

I ASSUME you do know that the vaccine doesn't contain ANY virus; live, killed or otherwise modified? At least the 2 available in the USA don't.
You are correct. It's a dummy spike carrier in simple terms. It relies on the spikes alerting the immune system and any protein to arrive with the same spike pattern will get attacked.

I'm delighted to report great progress in the battle of the crusty butt!
One week ago today after her first soak and scrub.

Last Monday.

Today. 20 minutes soaking and 10 minutes gently scrubbing. The edges of the crusty tissue had softened and started to come loose from healthy tissue beneath.

I gently tugged at the edges and snipped off what I could. I stopped when I made her bleed accidentally (@ 2:00 on the butt dial).

What I snipped off.

My lovely patient, Seneca, after her blow dry. She kept trying to fly up on the bathroom counter and I kept blocking her and reminding her, "there's no flying in bathrooms!"

Properly floofed and ready to return to the flock.

Are you giving her poultry probiotics?

she is SO lucky to have you!
I'll admit, working on that was difficult for me. I got faint at one point and knelt next to her with my head on the floor until it passed.
I've been putting Nu-Stock on it in the morning and triple antibiotic ointment on at night. I'll continue this and the twice a week soaking, scrubbing and picking until she's healed.
I'm so relieved that I think she'll make it now!
