BYC Café

Good morning, Cafe.
@aart yes Maggie Mae is a mutt = they call them golden doodles, but a mutt nevertheless. She is keeping me company playing with her favorite toy - an empty Gatorade bottle. The beagles are outdoor dogs and live in insulated kennels. The heated whelping box has been preempted by Scaredy Cat.
You still owe us some pictures of your new little princess :D

Yeah, well, I agree.
Some of those doodles are more poodle than what ever they crossed them with.

Maggie Mae is an F2 or F3 cross. She has very much the poodle conformation, but her coat is more silky and not curly. So far it appears as if she is non shedding. I think we have the house breaking down completely. She hasn't had an 'accident' in the house in weeks = partly because I take her out frequently - hope that I haven't just jinxed the deal. She is now 'telling' me when she needs to go out. If I am on the computer she will come into the room, stare at me, move towards the door and then return to sit in the middle of the room and stare at me. If I am in the living room, she will go to the door, come back and stare at the chair where my coat is, and then come and stare at me. She is smart and will do anything for food.

Wonder what they back crossed her with.
My niece has a bernedoodle, 3/4 poodle, but it has mostly straight fur/hair.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee!
7F, sunny, and warming back up to 25F. That works for me for sure. Breezy and snow are now the words they are using too.
Someone called about firewood and I wonder how many water pipes had issues over the last couple of days. I know of one pipe leak in a restaurant being refurbished. It seems that a lot of the water mains to the houses rely on a good amount of snow for insulation during these wicked cold snaps. There is not enough snow to insulate anything even at 10,000 feet right now. Maybe in a couple of weeks, I will be able to join the sore shoulder club. Two competitions this week and then it is "hunker down and wait for Regionals" time, probably about when it starts to really snow here too. We will see!
Enjoy the day and be at peace! :hugs
