Happy to say my "daughter" looks very well. She's coughing a lot less too. She goes to chemo every other week until September. She told me that by then, she will have had the maximum "lifetime dose" of one of the chemicals in her particular cocktail.

Scary, I guess.

She said she "absolutely did NOT approve" of me shaving my head. So I won't.

She said if there were no treatment for this, eventually the mass in her chest would make it impossible for her to breathe. Which is exactly what happened to the sister of a friend of mine back in the mid 60s.

So am I. The couch was damaged when it was delivered to the store so we have no couch. Just the chair.View attachment 2615700

How annoying! How long will you have to wait for the new one to be delivered?

We just had something similar happen with the dishwasher we ordered almost two month ago. It arrived delayed and with an already damaged front. They were not able to send a replacement as this model was suddenly out of stock, or so they said.

So we had to order the same model somewhere else and are still waiting for the delivery.

Ever since we are doing the dishes by hand and we really, really hate it.

It's especially annoying when I have caregivers at the house and no comfortable seating for them and DH.
I let the store manager know what an inconvenience it was going to be and was asked, "what can we do for you to keep us in your good graces?" I asked for a 10% discount and got it! That will pay for some of the cost of the new area rugs I bought.

Why don't you add that they should deliver it to your house without additional costs?

The longer it takes for the dishwasher to arrive, the better I get at it.

I'm happy with just the discount!
But I'll need help getting the couch in. DH struggled to understand how to help me lift the chair to bring it in. I had to physically position him and place his hands where they needed to go. That'll never work with a big heavy couch.
Hmmmm. Maybe I will call and ask!
