Chicks made several forays in to the bug run today, they got chased, but no one was beaten...they're gettin' savvy.

Weird or not, I could smell him on my hands for hours, I liked it.

I gave the dogs baths before we left for vacation. Skittles coat felt like a rabbit and his hair dried curly!

Rascal was always soft.... but, yeah, softer after a bath.

I always love the feel of our dogs' coats after a bath. None of them have been particularly soft haired, but just the feel of clean dog is nice.

I need an aux roost. Mine take to the boxes until they hit POL. I have to yank them out at head count every night.
I still haven't decided if I'm going to let someone set this year. I'd sell the entire brood if I did because I don't want to increase my flock.

No softness or fluffy coats here after a dog bath, but at least they lose the stickiness

Good morning everyone!

A fresh big pot of coffee is ready, so grab a mug and join me.

I woke up to a blue sky and wonderful sunshine, yaaayyyy!
So glad that the chicks are finally able to enjoy the warmth. They love it and it is fun so see them literally melt as soon as they hit a sunny spot in their run.

I checked with a stronger light on the remaining egg last evening and there was life in it, the little head could be seen in the air cell. So I put it back under Dottie and will check again this evening. This is one of the olive eggs with a very strong eggshell, hopefully the chick is able to crack it.
