BYC Café

Well, Napoleon has finally lost all common sense.
I went out to lock up and the two boys and MaeDay were still farting around out in the pen. Fabio doesn't like it when I herd him into the run for the night so he started in with his "I'm not moving!" and picking random stuff off the ground and dropping it in challenge. Napoleon was again watching. Then Napoleon started doing the same behavior to Fabio. That lasted all of 3 seconds before Fabio turned on him and ran after him. Nap stopped and did the jump and twist, lowered his head and flared his hackles at Fabio who returned the same posture.
Oh, you've GOT to be kidding me! That little booger about got himself squashed when Fabio jumped him. He chased him off three times before Nap finally got some oxygen back into that one surviving brain cell between his ears and ran into the coop.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee. It was cooler here yesterday, too.
We are supposed to be cranking up the temps for this coming week though.
DS$ will be traveling to OK for the Junior National Duals. My sheep finally got shorn yesterday. I am sure they were happy about that! We are off to the lower ranch again so enjoy the day and have some fun!
It was supposed to be 81 today but I just saw 96F on accuweather.

113F is in the forecast for nest week.

Showed this every where else I was so pleased got the mother rat today :lau

What a brave little guy defending you from mean Old Fabio's aggressions and threatening!

He deserves a treat for sure!❤️

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.
I simply MUST get some drywall today and try to get it installed in the cellar stairwell. It's a good day to do it. I can cut it and rasp it outside on the deck and keep most of the mess out there.
I jogged a little over 1.6 miles 2 days ago. I'm completely changing my form so I'm hitting all kids of muscles that I don't normally use heavily. I was walking real funny yesterday. I feel better this morning so I'll do the same run again today.
@pertnear09 and @ronott1, I hope it doesn't get as hot as it's been or is predicted. I just don't know how you cope with weather like that.
@penny1960, nice work!

Hope todays jog works things out for ya.
It'll be months before I get into a easy cadence. I have to strengthen the muscles and ligaments involved and if I don't want to injure myself, it's going to take a while.
I was so addicted to running before the knees stopped that. I inherited dad's crappy patellas.
I'm striking down with the ball of my foot to make my ankles and lower legs absorb the impact and protect my knees. Lots of runners return to running after microfracture surgery but when I tried, it hurt my knees but I was heel striking the way I always ran.
I have always felt better overall will less stress when I jogged.
And I can feel it's already helping me cope with the stress of caring for DH. He is getting bad fast. I'm doing so much more for him than I was. I have to do absolutely everything around the house and help him more and more with ADL. He couldn't even turn the oscillating fan off yesterday. Couldn't figure out what I meant when I said "bottom button".
His sister told me that she predicts within a year he'll be in a nursing home. I don't see that and she's not around him daily like I am. In fact, she hasn't seen him since last August. I think he'll be much worse, for sure, but with some more hired help, I think he can still be home.
