I put Sofia in the box yesterday ... with Angel who has already been there 3 or 4 daysGuess I'll have to set up the breaker crates again,
just put them away!
Effing fools. And when they burn the area how will they replace all the houses? There have been fire works going off here for a week or so!
Tonight I will get to watch the illegal bottle rockets. Some even bring in mortars.
We are so dry here! Hopefully there will not be any fires set tonight.
It isn't even near dark enough for fireworks at that time. I like the visual, really hate the loud.Well relatively new neighbors threw a full blown fireworks display last night from 8:30 to 9:30.

You need batteries attached to them if you want power when the grid is down.Thinking of calling the guy on the Power Home Solar ads...
That is the place to start.I assume you've checked the breaker box?
Yep, one leg of the main breaker blew. I had that happen in the subpanel in the barn. Quick trip to the electrical supply store fixed it. Of course the barn panel is fed from a 70A breaker in the main panel so I didn't need to pay an electrician to do any work.If it's all on one leg, the connection on that terminal lug may be bad.
They advertise a Generac backup battery system. Anyone have any experience with those? You need batteries attached to them if you want power when the grid is down.
STILL waiting for my batteries, month after month after month
Not with that (or any other yet, my solar company is supposed to put in Tesla Powerwalls) but that is what you would want. If your solar panels are tied to the grid the inverter shuts down if it loses line power so you aren't pushing power out to the grid which could harm a line service worker. But with battery backup it will continue to function feeding the batteries and your house. They advertise a Generac backup battery system. Anyone have any experience with those?
