Because you know how to build things right! The coop is nice and dry even with the windows wide open. I love those 2 foot overhangs!
We have done our job @LaFlecheYou two are equally to blame for this... I ordered 6+ hatching eggs.
BUT it's primarily for educational purposes! I am going to write an article and I will be shooting video of how I manage my broodies. So, this is for the greater good of the BYC community. I'll suffer through for the benefit of others.
Good choice - beautiful birds.Double Silver Laced Barnevelders from an NPIP breeder. They are mid-sized, not quite LF, not quite bantam. Supposed to be very hardy.

Yikes!Rough night. Nasty thunderstorms went through with wind up to 70 mph. Two trees down in the back yard. The only casualty is one of my colorful aluminum chairs.
I spent some time clearing the poultry netting line for when the power is restored.
The run got wet. The coop is nice and dry even with the windows wide open. I love those 2 foot overhangs!
Glad damage was minimal....hope power is restored soonest.
AhCRAP!!There are three more trees down further back and they all fell across the power lines.
That's what I'm thinking. We got hit the hardest in the county. There are trees and limbs down everywhere. Driveways blocked. Roads blocked.AhCRAP!!
That might not get fixed soon, eh?
