BYC Café

What was once a 4x8 skid is now 21 separate boards. And a bunch of nails in the waste basket. It's pine, so some of the boards have some trashed spots, but plenty enough to make some chicken furniture!

The first thing will be a table to go next to the plastic chair I bought. Then a 3-sided shelter to put around one of the food areas. Maybe two of those, if I have enough wood. I have some scraps of metal roofing I can use too. DH, can you get another skid from work soon?

Remington is the main target of affection for Napoleon. She does NOT appreciate it. Tonight while I was doing head count, Napoleon went after her while she was on the roost right next to Fabio. She flew across the coop and hit me square in the back of the head, ricocheted off and landed between two hens. I told her off then grabbed that bratty boy and tossed him on the floor.
Remi then jumped off the spot she was on, ran down the board and flew across the coop again and landed smack dab where she started with barely enough room between Fabio and Una.

Good afternoon everyone!

A fresh pot of hot coffee is ready for everyone in need. :caf

It is still raining nonstop, the only variation in days/weeks would be that sometimes the grey sky would change to an even darker grey or sometimes a little lighter tone.
I guess I will have to focus on household chores instead of outdoors building activities. :hmm

What exactly did he do? Did he try to mate her sitting on the roosting bar next to Fabio?

I'm not really sure. I was facing the other direction and just heard the commotion and then, whack, she hit me in the back of the head.
When I turned around to look where she'd been roosted, there was Napoleon right under her roost spot. He is obsessed with her.

Don't be too strict with him, this unrequited love must be hard enough on him.
