Freya puppy is doing very well. She is discovering treats and soft beds are really good things.

Around here the use of logging horses is quite popular to avoid the mess and damage caused by the machines.

There was a logger on the other side of the mountain that used pulling ponies to log. That was a quarter century so I'm sure he and the ponies are long gone.

First lock up after integration went well! The 3 adults are on the roost, the 3 littles are sitting in the corner where they've always slept. Lark is in her crate.

I'll be doing snack time tomorrow (didn't today) with mash-snack spread around the run and some by Lark's crate, to see how things go.

The drain can be hard to get to for sure.

We have clear cut here rule is they have so much time to replant .. Have to diagree with @LaFleche on rehoming

I meant the option of rehoming the aggressive hen, in case she is not willing to change the nasty behaviour.

This is great. Tell us more about her, why her previous owners gave her up, what kind of mixed breed she is, etc. Is she still intact?

Freya is doing very well and being very good. She learned that on Monday, daddy gets up early, feeds, walks, and cuddles her, then goes away. She learned about being shut in the kitchen (for 12 minutes while I took care of the chickens). She learned that there are other directions to walk besides down the driveway, ie, to the compost pile where there are lots of smells.

She is originally from Texas. She was found on April 7 as a stray, listed as "puppy" for her age. We adopted her from Love Unleashed, which is a rescue/foster group. The woman who was fostering her said they get a lot of dogs from Texas. A lot of unneutered/unspayed dogs there, a lot of unwanted litters.

We're pretty sure she is part lab. Maybe some shepherd, and other things we don't know. She has gorgeous eyes; almost a yellow color.

The foster woman had had her for 2 weeks, I believe; Freya was a fairly new listing on the site. She has had all her vaccinations and was just spayed last week.

She has found her forever home, and we couldn't be happier!
