BYC Café

Good morning, Cafe', and thanks for the coffee. Field trial went well; although, today I am feeling a bit burned out. Ran two dogs and did nothing with them, but I did win the 15" male class with a dog that belongs to a partially crippled friend who has recently returned to the sport. It was a good moment as I talked him into buying this dog and have been helping with the training. :yesss:

How many dogs will you have if you buy this one?
I have 8 beagles (one is looking for a new home) and of course Miss Maggie Mae. Not buying this dog - talked friend into buying him this spring on the potential that I saw. I predicted that he would win a field trial in mid Sept. - beat that by a bit. He's gone through the phases that male dogs seem to have more of than b*tches, but about 3 weeks ago started performing extremely well. Now to hope that he locks into this pattern.

Yes, down to 60 last night. I don't want to hear the AC again this year! The gentle hum of the fan is enough.

Freya (the adorable puppy) is doing very, very well. She's quiet at night, no accidents in the house, minor chewing that stops when we say no! and give her a chew toy instead. (And then, Good Girl!)

I'm probably going to let Lark (the less-than-adorable hen) out of her sequestration crate tomorrow at dusk. Yesterday she was much calmer, but got upset at dusk when I went to lock up the coop and she couldn't get there. She started a ruckus, Darl the roo ruckused back, and it was kind of loud for about 10 minutes.
