How does the city do there Shad no roo's .. Never did do a city here

The chickens are on an a City Council allotment plot. If roosters are not allowed, nobody told Henry (the rooster in the picture)
He is ver quiet compared to most roosters I've known.

Cold start here at around 4C. Supposed to get up to a stunning almost tropical 12C by midday.

Thanks for the coffee. Really need it this morning. There will probably be a nap in my day at some point.

So glad I am not driving anywhere. Multiple accidents on the major highways through Grand Rapids, MI, "due to low level moisture freezing on the bridges and overpasses."

I'm sipping a cup before work at the university - beautiful morning here in Halifax, but rain is on the way. We're enjoying a rather long and mild fall before the hard winter sets in. No hard killing frost yet, but it's coming this week.
