See you ARE a chicken whisperer! I have only a couple I could grab if I was fast when they came for treats. Of the 25 girls, I think only 5 will eat from my hand.

Maybe I need to put on a little fat?

I think we would need a picture to help with that determination. BMI doesn't really count since muscular people with no body fat will register as "overweight".

Good afternoon everyone!

I brought a fresh pot of coffee for all in need.

It is again raining all day and getting dark so early by now, that I can hardly finish my outdoor tasks in time without using my headlamp. But at least the wind has slowed down, so all the leaf raking is not in vain.

Even with multi layers yesterday I got chilled. Maybe I need to put on a little fat?

A litte fat would surely help, so go for it!

Which university?

Dalhousie University - in the biology building. They had a small dryer fire (pretty much no damage), but the smoke went through the building and the air quality isn't good enough to return yet.

Yes, it's definitely some good wind. Since it happens regularly, we are all prepared for it You have strong winds there too by the sounds of it! A little house shaking doesn't bother me any

DD1 looked at St. Mary's. One of the dorms is 20 stories and has no elevators!

The sky was dropping mini ice balls a while back. Not in Mr. NOAA's forecast. Supposed to go above freeing tomorrow and up to 50°F Thursday with rain. Then back to freezing or just above.

Morning Cafe second cup .. I do not feed my birds from my hands ...
I can walk up pick one up and they are fine. I think it is great when others do.. I don't.

Raisins... They'll come in for raisins. I'm lucky to leave the pen each morning with all the flesh still on my hands.

There are only 2 hens and 2 pullets that won't eat from my hand out of 27 birds.
Both hens suffered days of my horrible, evil caring for them to clear minor crop impactions and will never forgive me for it (ingrates). The pullets just haven't worked up the courage... Yet. Their brother has been running to me for raisins for weeks. One sister started yesterday.
