Good morning Cafe.
Coffee is made.
Day went to shite before I opened my eyes. Death in the family overnight. Other relatives visiting. Full drama mode heads on for some.

I think I'll pack some lunch in my rucksack and spend the day with the chickens.

I am sorry to hear about the death in the Family!

I wanted to clean off the front porch to put out the little tree. The pumpkin I had there was beginning to go south. I cut off the top that was soft and carried out to the pen. They saw me coming with that alien being and ran.
This is after a few minutes and me tossing out some guts. Amelia was the first in.

Fabio started pulling out seeds. He offered the first few to the hens but started eating them himself when they started sticking their heads in for their own.

Ace was watching from the side lines. He ran up to me at one point hoping I had a treat for him. He's feathering in nicely. Today is his 15-week hatchday. He still hasn't gone after any of his sisters or tried out his voice. I can't wait to hear his first crows!

He's a pure bred Double Silver Laced Barnevelder. He has three sisters. One of his sisters was taken by a hawk about 5 weeks ago. First loss I've had in the pen.

He's a handsome chap. No doubt about that. It would be good if him and Fabio could come to some kind of arrangement.
