We got our booster jabs this morning. There was a stampede to get them. The poor guy at Wally World was frantic trying to keep up.
I'm at the 9 hour mark and just a very mildly sore arm if I push on it. I was slammed pretty hard at the 12 hour mark with the second shot. I'm hoping for a milder reaction this time.

so had leftover cockerel and biscuits tonight.

It's funny because the whole casserole came out of cans with frozen veggies....except the chicken which I killed and butchered myself right here on the 'farm'.

@aart, your chili sounds like my moms, except she did all kidney beans.

I asked at the local pharmacy if they had the Moderna booster (we got M when we had our vaccine), and they said yes, but make an appointment online, because while they did take walk ins, the wait was 1-2 hours.

Since three houses of people on our road all have Covid now, I think the booster might be a really good idea.

And, yes, none of the people in those houses was vaccinated. Their choice. They seem to be doing ok, for the most part, and aren't too sick, though one was in bed for a week. Crossing my fingers that they all come through it ok.

We've been having some round, pelty snow today.

We had that too, twice. Looked like tiny styrofoam balls. And it melted. I took advantage of the warm weather yesterday to put the snow tires on my car. The rain was kind enough to wait for me to finish .... just barely.

Thank you everyone for the condolences. I don't mind the deaths, it's all the drama and bickering relatives that I can't be doing with.

23 this morning. Bella chased something off this morning in the dark. She never does more than make the intruder leave then comes right back. I didn't even bother to look to see what it was. Knowing the cast of characters, it was either deer or the bear. Bella has a remarkably loud, sharp bark.
