Evening update: it’s blowing 72mph and expected to increase up to 87mph. And that’s just a weak wind compare to the ones in spring - not quite at “the house is shaking” stage yet 🤣
Every couple of years we get a storm with winds like that!

The Sierras in California get 100mph winds every winter. No one is up there then though...
 
but still can't lift more than 100 pounds over my head-- puts too much pressure on the spine that way.
I've not damaged my back and I seriously doubt I could lift 100 pounds over my head!
It is enough to heave a 50 pound bag of feed onto my shoulder. Guess I'm a wimp.

Um, that is hurricane wind!!!!!

It was warm and rainy yesterday. The temp dropped to 26 overnight and now my deck is a skating rink with little white ice balls all over it.
Don't go out on the deck Tonya!

Our winds max out at 137mph gusts - typically this strength occurs in the spring time. The houses are built for it here 😉

Definitely not the easiest of conditions to live in...
