BYC Café

Did you find out how it came off?
It comes off rather easily (by design). You have to move the lever carefully as it opens and closes the plate door inside the stove. Again, I wish she wouldn't mess with the stove. I'm going to leave a note today for her to that effect. It's the "banging on the handle with a piece of wood" act I can't wrap my head around. How was THAT going to do anything good for my $7,000 stove??

Good morning Cafe! Thanks for the coffee @DobieLover :)

We're still in snow squalls here.

The Feds are supposedly announcing new rules today that might make things difficult as I move back west for a few months to teach (but that is a conversation for another thread or time). I think we can all agree that the ups and downs of the last two years have been tiring and frustrating in many different ways.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee! "They" have changed my weather again as well and we are now back up to fun level: Winds could gust as high as 95 mph - 100mph.
I am off to feed the horse and turn him out so he can shelter up; he knows how to deal with all of this better than we do, LOL! Then maybe make some soup for when the power goes off.
Enjoy the day, Cafe!

Morning Margie, hope those winds don't cause too much damage.

She might be afraid of burning her fingers touching it.
Why not leave a nice big protective mitten for her to use in case she feels the need to mess with your wood stove again?
